Physical Language: Merging Acting and Sign to Emotion Through Movement

This is an opportunity for theater students and interpreters to collaborate!

9-10:30 An introduction to Chekhov - lecture and activities to learn aspects of the Chekhov acting technique. Understanding how actors prepare for roles will also help interpreters prepare and develop characters.

10:30-12:00 Monologues Class - Actors and interpreters will collaborate on short scenes to develop characters and the interpretation.

Ticket sales: Pre-ticket sales begin now and end 9/28/17. To purchase call 574-535- 7566. After 9/28 call 574-535-7061 for ticket availability. Presentation will be in English. ASL interpreters will be provided.

CEUs 0.3 Workshop - 0.3 CEUs Professional Studies with little/no prior knowledge of topic required.
