  • LTC Language Solutions 5750 Castle Creek Parkway North Drive #487 Indianapolis, IN 46250

Interpreters receive basic training and instruction on using first person consecutive interpreting. But what about those situations that demand something different to render the most effective interpretation possible? This workshop focuses on the challenges of interpreting in a mixed-language setting, interpreting for children and the elderly, and interpreting side conversations. This workshop is appropriate for all foreign languages and all skill levels. Legal interpreters are also welcome to attend.

Learning Objectives:

Name scenarios that demand interpreting that goes beyond first person consecutive

Name and define different interpreting techniques and when they are most appropriately used

Practice using different interpreting techniques through role play

This workshop is approved for CEUs through the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters' Continuing Education Approval Program (CEAP). Each participant receives a certificate of attendance.
